How to download and start the client

1. Install or check version of Java (1.4 or higher)
• You will need J2SE JRE 1.4 or higher, which you can download from http://java.sun.com/j2se/
• Download and install the latest version of J2SE JRE for your platform and OS.
• For install and configuration instructions please look at the documents of Java.
2. Download the latest schema creation tool (CORESClient.jar)
• If you see gibberish in the window after you started the download, start the download again by right clicking the link and selecting 'Save Target As...'
3. Start the schema creation tool
• Enter 'java -jar CORESClient.jar' in the console within the directory where you have downloaded the client
• OR just double-click on the downloaded file to start the client (depending on your OS)
• For any further information about the use of the client see the user's manual
4. Optional: set the target registry
• Please do not use the CORES registry at http://cores.dsd.sztaki.hu/ for testing purposes. Use the "sandbox registry" at http://cores.dsd.sztaki.hu/test for all testing.
• Start the program with the "java -Dmeg.target=http://cores.dsd.sztaki.hu/test/api -jar CORESClient.jar" command

How to upload to an agency

1. Register at the server
• There is a help section about authentication in the registry, please read it
2. Create your schema
• After starting the tool, click 'Edit Agency', and set the agency name and identifier
• Refer to the client section of the user's manual on how to create schemas
3. Upload the schema
• Click the 'CORES Registry' button in the tool and give in your e-mail and password
• The tool writes the answers of the server to the console, please read that about success or errors
